What does a family board show?
On the family board, each figure stands for a family member, sometimes also for someone who has died, a pet or an important topic. How close the figures stand, where they look and how big they are shows how your client experiences the relationships in their family.
Often the current situation is set up first. Then you explore together what a desired situation could look like and what would have to change for it.
How a family constellation works with Vauri
- 1Create a board: a new board is ready in seconds.
- 2Invite: share an invitation link or QR code and the access code, ideally through separate channels. Your client enters a pseudonym and joins without an account.
- 3Set up: your client places the figures, labels them and turns them. You decide whether your guest may edit or only watch.
- 4Explore: together you switch to the inside view of single figures or to the meta position and try other arrangements.
- 5Finish: you close the session with one click, after which your guest no longer has access. The board stays saved in your account.
Figures, areas and helpers
For family members you choose figures in different shapes, colours and sizes. Areas show belonging, for example to a household or a family of origin. Helpers such as walls or rings show boundaries, obstacles or resources.
The extended tool mode adds animal and feeling figures, for example for a pet or for joy, sadness, anger and fear.
Privacy in family constellations
Family topics are personal. Vauri is therefore built to store as little as possible about your clients:
- Your client needs no account and only takes part under a pseudonym.
- Servers and database are in Frankfurt am Main. No tracking, no advertising cookies.
- The board holds roles such as “mother” or “brother” or pseudonyms, no real names and no health information. Vauri is a tool for constellations, not a documentation system.
- Data export and account deletion are available in your account at any time.
Frequently asked questions
Can several family members take part at the same time?
A live session is meant for you and one guest. When several family members sit together, they look at one device together.
Does the family board online work on an iPad?
Yes. Vauri runs in the browser on iPad and other tablets, on laptop, desktop and phone.
What happens to the board after the session?
It stays saved in your account. You can open it again later, duplicate it or download it as an image or PDF.
